What to expect from your KaBloom Portrait Session
So you’re thinking of booking a portrait session at the KaBloom this year? Or maybe you already have, in which case - I can’t wait to work with you.
Let me share a few points about what to expect from your Session with me.
Before your Session
What to wear: I send all of my clients a Style Guide to help you select an outfit that will look fantastic among the flowers.
Special details: I also provide opportunities for you to share any special details about your shoot. I’ve shot surprise proposals, engagements, gender reveals, hens parties, maternity, newborn and dogs… If there is something special about your shoot - please share this with me.
The day of your Kabloom Portrait Session
The festival is big…REALLY BIG! So finding me on the day can be a little tricky.
Arrive Early: I recommend arriving to the festival a minimum of 20-30 minutes before your scheduled shoot time. This gives you time to park, check in and find my location that day.
How to find me: Because I move around the venue with the best blossoms each day, I try my best to clearly communicate where I am.
Follow me on facebook and instagram - I will post in my stories where to find me each morning
Check your phone - I will send you a text the day of your session.
During the shoot
Time in front of the camera: The time in front of the camera depends on which package you have booked.
Micro session - you can expect approximately 5 minutes in front of the camera where I will take a small variety of images for you to choose your favourite.
KaBloom Package - you can expect approximately 15 minutes in front of the camera where I will take quite a wide range of images across two locations.
Premium Portrait Experience - you can expect 45 minutes in front of the camera where we will cover three locations in the festival and a large range of poses.
Posing and direction: part of my job as your photographer is to direct you. I do this mostly by offering prompts to get you interacting with one another for those natural, candid looking shots.
I’m all about the vibe: lighthearted humour and positivity are my vibes when working with you. We may only be together for 5 minutes but I try my hardest to get to know you, connect with you, and throw in some humour to get you feeling comfortable.
Best blooms: You’re paying good money for these images, so it’s only fair you get the best flowers of the festival! I move with the blooms to make sure we are in the best position each day.
After your Session
What’s included: no matter which portrait package you have selected you will receive a private online gallery with your edited images to view.
Micro Package - receive one edited image of your choice with the option to purchase extras.
Kabloom package- receive 6 edited images of your choice with the option to purchase extras.
Premium package- receive all of your edited images (minimum of 30) with the option to purchase printed products.
Wait times: micro bookings have a maximum wait time of 72 hours and Kabloom & premium package bookings have a maximum wait time of 4 weeks. This is because I individually edit each and every one of your images before you even see them. Many photographers outsource their editing these days, but as an artist, I believe in my product (your photos) being created by me from start to finish. It just takes a little longer.
Gallery delivery: Your gallery will be delivered via email with a personal link. You are free to share this link with anyone you like. Your images will appear watermarked in the gallery until you decide which ones to purchase.
Additional Products: You can purchase additional digitals, prints, framed canvas or albums containing your images.
